Welcome to LSET London’s Visa Guidance page. Here, we aim to simplify the process of applying for a Short-term Study Visa, ensuring you’re well-prepared for your educational journey in the UK. Please note, this information serves as a guide and should not be interpreted as formal immigration advice.
Essential Documents for Your Application
To apply for a Short-term Study Visa, you will need:
Passport: Your passport should be valid for the entire duration of your stay in the UK.
Letter of Enrolment: You will receive a formal invitation from LSET London confirming your enrolment in one of our courses.
Proof of Accommodation: LSET London assists with accommodation, ensuring you have a comfortable place to stay during your studies.
Financial Proof: Demonstrate you have sufficient funds for your tuition and living expenses. This is crucial to ensure you can support yourself without accessing public funds.
Health Screening: If applicable, a Tuberculosis (TB) test result from an approved clinic may be required.
Financial Requirements
There is no specific minimum amount required, but you should prove that you have enough money to cover your tuition fees and living costs. Living expenses are roughly estimated at £1,000 for each month of your stay.
Intention to Leave
It’s important to show that you plan to leave the UK within 30 days of your course completion or at the end of 6 months, whichever is sooner.
Document Translations
Should any of your documents not be in English, professional translations will be necessary. These translations must include the translator’s full name, signature, and confirmation that it is an accurate translation.
Planning for Your Stay
Upon arriving in the UK, it’s crucial to remember that as a Short-term Student, you’re not permitted to undertake any employment or extend your visa beyond its initial term.
LSET London is excited to welcome you and is dedicated to supporting you throughout your visa application process.
